Anne Namba to Present Her Legacy at the 2019 Goodwill Goes GLAM! Fashion Show, July 18

Anne Namba Designs’ signature kimono couture style will be on display, Thursday, July 18, opening night of the eighth annual Goodwill Goes GLAM! presented by Bank of Hawaii Foundation. As the producer of the 2019 GLAM! Fashion Show themed “Legacy,” Anne Namba, who is celebrating her 30th anniversary, will pair pieces donated by her clients from past collections with Goodwill finds. The annual fashion show and fundraiser kicks off a weekend of shopping and festivities to follow, July 19-21, including $600 worth of prize giveaways all in celebration of Goodwill Hawaii’s 60th anniversary.

“I’m excited to be able to give back to an organization that empowers people to reach their full potential and become self-sufficient,” said Anne Namba. “The fact that both Goodwill Hawaii and Anne Namba Designs are celebrating milestone anniversaries this year makes participating in this event all the more special for me.”

Following the fashion show, attendees will have first-access to shop the GLAM! Sale including the donated Anne Namba pieces featured on the runway as well as other designer, vintage and one-of-a-kind items curated from Goodwill over the past year. Tickets to attend the fashion show are now on sale at goodwillhawaii.org/GLAM for $25. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $30.

The GLAM! Sale will continue through the weekend, July 19-21, with doors opening at 9 am each day. In addition, Goodwill Hawaii will be giving away $600 worth of prizes on Friday and Saturday from 4-7 pm, in honor of its 60th anniversary.

“This year’s Goodwill Goes GLAM! is a chance for us to say thank you to the Hawaii community for 60 years of supporting Goodwill and believing in our mission to provide opportunities for people in difficult circumstances to find employment and become self-sufficient,” said Laura Smith, president and CEO of Goodwill Hawaii. “Our programs and services impact tens of thousands of lives every year, and we look forward to continue serving the people of Hawaii for another 60 years and more.”
